Winter Warmer Cocktails

We are very lucky to be blessed with a winter warmer cocktail recipe list from our resident blogger Mimi. As the nights get colder, what better time to start making your own fun and delicious cocktails? From a delightful Mistletoe concoction, to a classic mulled wine to warm you up, we have something for everyone on our winter cocktail menu. 

Santa’s Little Helper! 🧑‍🎄
Serves 1
Ingredients
  • 1 part brandy
  • 1/2 part amaretto liqueur
  • 1/2 part Cointreau
Method
Pour the above ingredients into a glass over crushed ice and enjoy! This little sharpener always helps me on Christmas Eve when I’m filling all the stockings! 😉
Poinsettia 🌺
Makes 8 glasses
Ingredients
  • 1 x bottle of Prosecco
  • 125ml Cointreau
  • 500ml cranberry juice, chilled
Method
Mix the Prosecco with the Cointreau and cranberry in a large jug. Stir slowly to combine…
Pour into champagne flutes and enjoy 🥂🥂
Warming Mulled Wine 🍷
Serves 12 people
Ingredients
  • 2 bottles full-bodied red wine
  • 2 1/2 pints water
  • 1 orange studded with cloves
  • 2 sliced oranges
  • 2 sliced lemons
  • 6 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tsp ground or freshly grated ginger
  • 4 tbsp Cointreau
Method
Put all the ingredients into a saucepan and heat slowly…. Simmer very gently for 20 mins and then serve in wine glasses (remember to pop a spoon into the glass before pouring hot drinks in to stop cracking).
The above will make enough for with 12 x 1/2 pint mugs or 24 x small sturdy wine glasses

Non Alcoholic 
Mistletoe 🎄🌲🎄 (non-alcoholic)
Serves 10
Ingredients
  • 250ml chilled lime cordial
  • 750ml chilled ginger beer
  • 1 x 25ml shot of fresh lime juice
Method
Chill a large pitcher, fill it with ice and pour in lime cordial and ginger beer. Spritz with the fresh lime juice and stir gently … enjoy xx
Festive Breeze
Serves 10
Ingredients
  • 750ml chilled cranberry juice
  • 750ml chilled clear apple juice
  • 750ml freshly squeezed orange juice 
  • Ice cubes
Method
1. Chill a jug and fill with ice… pour all of the juices into the jug and mix together.
2. Serve in tumblers with a slice of apple and a slice of orange
